What is "CLOISONNE"?
An ancient, oriental art, prized for it's grace, beauty and craftsmanship, Cloisonne has been around for centuries. The combining of metal, gold and enamel into breathtaking shapes and designs is a craft learned over a lifetime. The pieces, themselves, are round, heart shaped or egg shaped. Some are mostly gold, some are mostly enamel. Each piece is different and totally unique. The use of the colored enamel intertwined with gold is truly a wonder to behold. Cloisonne pieces range in size from approximately 1" to approximately 3". All cloisonne pieces come with a 6" 18K gold plate chain and connector.
